Novato Teen Clinic Peer Health Promoter
Are you between the ages of 15 to 25 and excited about helping others? Are you outgoing? Are you interested in health and wellness?
If so, you might make a great Novato Teen Clinic (NTC) Peer Health Promoter!
Peer Health Promoters benefit from the experience by:
- Receiving training on a variety of health topics, as well as experience in Peer Education and Public Speaking
- Gaining community service hours
- Gaining valuable experience to list on their resumes
- Feeling good about helping others
- Serving as helpers during Novato Teen Clinic (1-2 times a month)
- Social media outreach and education on human sexuality, wellness, mental health, and more
- Attending evening bi-monthly Peer Health Promoter meetings
- Conducting outreach and teaching other youth about reproductive and mental health and relationships.
- Being the face of the NTC at their schools and at other community groups and speak about the NTC each semester in their schools’ health classes.
- Serving for a minimum of one year.

- Representar a NTC en sus escuelas y en otros grupos comunitarios y hablar sobre NTC cada semestre en las clases de salud de sus escuelas.
- Servir por un mínimo de un año.
Conditions of Hire:
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless granted a medical or religious exemption.
- Pre-employment health exam including proof of vaccinations and TB test clearance.
- Criminal record clearance or exemption from California Department of Social Services. All convictions other than minor traffic violations require an exemption, including convictions that have been expunged.
